Success is your first major task as a manager. Success is what creates your life's worth, your sense of purpose and yourself. It defines success as the ability to manage.By its nature, failure is defined as an abrupt change of fortune. As a manager, you have failed over and over again. If you are successful, you fail less often. The best teams are those that fail often, fail together, do better after failure, and have better management afterward.
Successful Leaders are the best distributors, salesmen, coaches, teachers and innovators of all. – Johnathan Kaplan
Success is the health of the group'. Success is the increase in the size of the group and the retention of people, regardless of their potential, intelligence or direction. Success means promoting everyone to a greater level of consciousness and responsibility. It requires taking the dumbest, most limited people, who are already vulnerable and making them better. So when you tell someone that their failure is their own fault, you're actually destroying their ability to achieve success.
Success feeds confidence. Not necessarily a confidence in the solution that someone else has figured out, but confidence that you can achieve the same thing on your own with certain amount of time and resources. Success leads to accomplishment. There will always be things that take more time, energy and money than you expect. But there will also be people who think that those other things will take less time, less energy and less money. Whether or not those people are right, you have to be prepared to move past their observations into awareness.
The biggest indicator of a successful person is that when they have a successful thought or idea, they do something. They act upon that idea. People who act on their dreams, who have out-performed expectations and have become successful, often have a vision for their future. Successful people want their children to become successful.
There is no such thing as inaction, passive control or paralysis. Success requires active choice and action. This is not to say that all bad things have an obvious cause or effect. Just because you had a dream doesn't mean you immediately realize that this dream has a function. Just because you're going through an emotional turmoil does not mean you're totally unwilling to act. Just because you're having a bad day does not mean you don't want to do something to deal with it.
Failure is probably one of the most difficult concepts for most people to grasp, yet failure is one of the most critical outcomes for an employer as it is a primary determinant of your future. If you can manage it, failure is not a problem, failure is an opportunity. As you develop and focus on your personal, financial, and professional development, you will be able to get success. When you fail, do not feel bad. At the end of the day, failure is not something to feel guilty about.
