We all love to be liked, approved, and accepted. On the other hand, it always hurt to feel that we are not liked. That's why criticism always hurts, it's hard to accept and face it.
You will see many who can accept criticism with a smile. I always wonder how they can do that because It makes me feel uncomfortable every single time when someone criticizes me. So how can we face criticism smoothly?
To deal with criticism we have first had control over our anger. Because we need to have good control over how we respond and react. Don't start an argument to prove anyone wrong. Because people will always show their opinion. Just make the space for yourself.
Ignore the judgmental opinion. You know what you are and if so there's no other best way than ignoring what makes you feel bad.
You can induce compassion and kindness through your behavior. People will say no matter how good you are. Let them be but remind yourself to be kind to them and to yourself too.
We have to continuously remind ourselves that how much we love us. It will help us to accept opinions and criticism without judging our own power and ability.
Forgiveness can also be another great option. Some people just make a scar on our hearts. But if we learn to forgive themselves as well as ourselves too, the path will be easier for us to move on.
Don't relate it personally. No one can define yourself, you yourself make your own definition. So don't run away.
However, it will always feel difficult to accept and face criticism. No matter if it's constructive or not. Accept the constructive one and let go of the other. Make a room for personal development and acceptance. These can make us a better person!
