Have you floured your imagination today? What a Wonderful question - and the answer is Yes. I think every one of us has at some time or other, floured our imagination.
Why do we need to flour our imagination? To learn new things? To help us understand the world around us better? Well, let me tell you, for one thing, that the process of imagination is central to all of our thinking, to all of our learning, to all of our experience in this world.
Let's look at this another way. You walk into a classroom, and you listen to some lectures. And after listening to those lectures, what happens? You go home, you think about the things that were taught that day, what lessons were learned, and then you go about your day and you try to apply the knowledge that you have learned that day. You may end up with some problems, but you can apply it to your life, so that next time you come into the classroom, you will be ready.
Or what about that other person, or those people that you work with? Do they flour their imagination? Do they learn their lessons and apply it to their lives each day? Can you think of any teachers that do not use their imagination in their work? I think most teachers would say yes, and that is why they are so good at what they do.
Have you read or watched a movie lately that was set in Paris? Paris, by the way, is a big city. Paris, in fact, is one of the most visited cities in the entire world. It is a city of love, mystery, and intrigue. It is a city where many of the greatest writers and artists live.
A few days ago, I was talking to an artist in Paris. She told me that she had just finished a painting. It was a beautiful piece that showed what she felt about people. It was very meaningful to her - and it was done each day.
If you could learn to draw or paint or create anything - and you can - then you could take part in this artwork. It is not just for the rich anymore. If you can make a living doing it, then you have found your calling. It is not about fame and fortune - it is not even about creating things that you can display in a gallery. It is about helping others to learn to let their imagination run wild - to create things that are beautiful and impressive, things that touch the hearts and minds of everyone that sees them.
So, go ahead and do something wonderful for the world today. Flour your imagination. Go out into the world and create beautiful masterpieces. Show the world what you are made of. Who knows - you may even win some money for doing so?
There are many careers that allow you to do so. Many jobs are well paying and offer a great deal of satisfaction. But there are also those careers that do not pay very much. In some cases, the only thing that you are making from your work is a paycheck. Not a true lifestyle.
Imagine what it would be like if you were able to live the life you've always wanted to. What would you do every day? What would you enjoy doing? What would be the things that you look forward to with anticipation? Learning to create beautiful things is a great form of exercise.
Imagine your life as you want it. Go out into the world and take a few minutes each day to think about the way you want your day to turn out. How you would feel on that day. What would you really want? Do not underestimate the power of your imagination.
Remember that a fulfilling life is one that is led by the desire to learn and grow. Each day is an opportunity to learn new things. You are the only one who can decide how you will use these opportunities. So make the most of them.
